Calico Cats Have you ever wanted a sweet, loyal cat that loves to follow you around? Well calico cat’s are the one. These cats follow their owners around like lost puppies because they like to be loved and hate to be lonely. Calico cats usually protect their owners if they think something bad is going on. They are the most lovable cats you could ever have. Calico cats are mistakenly identified as tortoiseshell because of the fur color on them, but the tortoiseshell and calico are unspecific breeds of cats, and they are not the same. Tortoiseshell cats have patches of orange or cream and chocolate, with black or blue patches or dots on them. These cat’s have more behavior issues than siamese cats. Calico cats are more fiery, strong-willed, and altogether. They have more “attitude” or as us pet owners call it, “cattitude.” Cat’s don’t like water, but most cats do. Calico cats don’t appreciate when you give them a bath, or put them near a sink, so therefore; you will get scratched or bit when trying to do that. Believe it or not, calico’s with an attitude can be more loveable that it seems. Most of them are really lazy, and they meow all the time. For example, if you walk into a room, these cats will meow, or when you are watching TV and these cats walk in, they will meow at you. Calico’s have high pitched meows, and most of these cats don’t like other cats or even dogs. Professional cat breeders rarely produce calico kittens because they are so based on good luck. Still to this day, it’s impossible to clone these types of cats because of them being so popular.
