P1 Describe the potential prompts that initiate the installation of new or upgraded software
Current System issues – Now as time goes on machines get outdated and slower so if at the centre the computer systems have been running on a quite old software lets say the operating system they are running on is Windows XP 2000 for students and staff. To fix the Systems which are slow or such then a software update on the operating system to let’s say Windows 7, 8 or even 10 would just speed up things so much more simply because the software is the latest software and so it will not have as much as problems, bugs or errors as the old operating system because that would have been taken care of in the new O.S. The new O.S will be much more advanced, faster, and reliable and most defiantly not crash or have any security problems simply because it’s the latest updated software.…show more content… A really good reason for this would be that most of the hardware on your computer system would require you to have the latest software for them. So for example if the staff would like to run an application which helps in maths for students in class, this application would require maybe a good graphics card and with this the latest software this hard ware would require would be the drivers which would be rolled out by the company which made this application for maths and the latest drivers would then help run this application smoothly without any lag or bugs. So in a way it is always good to have the latest software for the applications the staff or even students would use so updating software would be good because it would mean more efficiency and time
