Benjamin Franklin is the Founding Father that best represents the true values of an American because he was a visionary. Benjamin Franklin started from nothing compared to where he was at his peak. The Independence Hall Association, in their The Electric Ben Franklin article, "A Quick Biography of Benjamin Franklin" states that Benjamin Franklin and his sixteen siblings were not wealthy. Benjamin Franklin's Father was also only a candle maker which means that Franklin had to work even harder to make his way to his future of success. Franklins drive and work ethic is what made him the political leader he is and what made him become noticed by business man. Franklin also became wealthy not only through his writings but his inventions also. One of his best inventions that are still used today is bifocals. Benjamin Franklin was one the people to represent America in a way that exemplified their values. Later in his life Benjamin Franklin became an avid statesman for American rights that represented Pennsylvania, Georgia, New Jersey, and Massachusetts. He traveled to London to protest the Stamp Act. Benjamin Franklin was a man that made America what it is today. If it were not for Franklin Americans would have the freedom because of the ruling of the king and queen of England. Benjamin Franklin did not start of as an influential statesman. He was a well known author also. One of his books, The Autobiography, was what he made to make himself a perfect American. Franklin was a very organized person when growing up. Every day he woke up he would think of a certain virtue to improve in. He would not try to take on 2 things at once.
