Life is all about choices. In life you have to two basic choices: to see the glass half full, or to see the glass empty. The article, Attitude is Everything, by Francie Baltazar-Schwartz gives us an amazing example of this theory. Attitude is Everything is about a restaurant owner, named Jerry who seems to always have a smile of his face. He always sees the positive in life. When Jerry is asked how it is possible to be this happy all the time, he replies, "Each morning I wake up and say to myself, 'Jerry, you have two choices today. You can choose to be in a good mood or you can choose to be in a bad mood.' I choose to be in a good mood. Each time something bad happens, I can choose to be a victim or I can choose to learn from it. I choose…show more content… Jerry left the back door of his restaurant open one morning, and three armed robbers held him at gunpoint. While trying to open the safe, his hand shaking from nervousness, slipped off the combination. The robbers in a panic then shot him. After being rushed to the local trauma center, Jerry endured 18 hours of surgery, and weeks of intensive care, and then was finally released with fragments of the bullet still left in his body. Now out of the hospital Jerry still keeps his positivity. When he is asked how he is doing, he replies, “If I were any better, I’d be twins. Wanna see my scars?”His most inspirational statement is when he is asked how he made it through this tragic time. He says, “You have two choices: a choice to live, or you have a choice to die”. Jerry chose to live, and he is alive today. The title, Attitude is Everything is definitely the truth. Attitude is everything. Your Attitude affects everything you do, and you should always live life to the fullest, therefore you should always see the glass half full. There have been other cases such as Jerry’s.
