I think the main visual point of this painting, The Tennis Court Oath, is intended to be the man standing on the able in the center of the picture. His right arm is raised up in the air, and he is standing above everyone. I also find it interesting that his hand that is raised is one of the few object you can actually make out. The crowd in the background is kind of blurred and messy, but his hand really sticks out. I am guessing that because the title of this artwork is “The Tennis Court Oath,” the man is giving an oath. Hence, his hand is raised up high, which is
