Natalie Myren Edwards Pastiche 10.3.15 Plugged Out It is a sad day when we realize that the children of our day are slowly becoming more and more automated, and yes, when I say automated, I do refer to the children themselves, not just their technology. There are few things we have the ability to do in order to reverse the ways that have come upon us, whether they be using smartphones whenever we need the littlest of help, to our TV screens in search of entertainment, this new generation has become as dependent upon technology as an animal is dependent on food, space, water and mates for its survival. The alliteration contributes to the author’s attempt at convincing the audience to use less technology by making the audience see themselves as “corrupted” people, making them think that what they are doing is wrong.
