I am not ashamed. Arthur Dimmesdale, I love you more than anything and I am not ashamed. I know that you are scared and worried about what the future may hold, but I am not. I know that what we had was special and I hope you feel the same. I know that things may never be the same, but I don’t want that to stop us from trying. I understand you wanting to keep a safe distance from me to not raise suspicion, but please don’t give up on us. One day I believe we will be able to run away and escape this town forever. We will be able to raise this child together, just promise me you will be patient. I know you have to do what is best for you, but I still want our relationship to work.
