Tuesday’s With Morrie written by Mitch Albom, is the bittersweet true story of a student visiting his dying professor for one last lesson. Throughout the novel, Morrie has many perils of wisdom and aphorisms that he passes on to Mitch. One of the most important aphorism that Morrie spoke of, was his Theory of Detachment. He believed that you can not let emotions control your life and the only way to live was to detach. Morrie said, “But detachment doesn’t mean you don’t let the experience penetrate you. On the contrary, you let it penetrate you fully.
