Pieta is an Italian word meaning pity and in art history it refers to the subject of the Virgin Mary holding the body of her dead son in her lap. Michelangelo’s pieta and Titian’s pieta are really amazing arts which where painted in (1498-1500) and 1557, but though they are different, they also share a lot of similarities. The first difference is that Michelangelo’s pieta is made of marble sculpture and it looks like a statue. He used the same color in painting the picture while Titian’s pieta is painted in colors and he used different colors and it also looks
