Research Question 1: How did America’s fractured relationship with Vietnam lead to war in the 1950s? Hook: the Vietnam War has been one of the bloodiest sociopolitical catastrophes. What lead to America’s participation in this war? Notes: The United States of America only waged war at the North Vietnamese in the Vietnam War because America did not want Vietnam to turn into a communist nation. The Vietnam War was the aftermath of the Cold war between the Soviets and the Americans. The Soviets and The Americans did not want the war to be fought among them because that could lead to heavy causalities on each side so they so they wants countries that wanted to part because of their differences in political ideology. The opponent was the Soviet supported Ho Chi Minh who was the “True Leader Of Vietnam” as most people and governments accepted. He was also the leader of North Vietnam was also supported by all other communist nations of that time including North Korea, China, Some European nations and Chile etc. Ho Chi Minh was the preferred leader in Vietnam because of his help to the people of Vietnam. This political standoff between the peoples popular choice of communist Ho Chi Minh and America’s non-communist choice of Ngo Dinh Diem was about to be solved by an election in both parts of the Vietnam, which were -North Vietnam and South Vietnam. The elected representative or the winner of the election would have control over all of Vietnam and there would have not been any exceptions that would limit the control of the winner. The referee of this election would have been neutral nations but this election never took place and by then they had too many differences and problems to solve. America has no major relationships with North Korea. The only thing they agreed on was denuclearization in that region which involed the removel or the deactivation of the Soviet supplied missiles and warhead that they supplied duing the cold war and the Korean War in which the Soviets had supported North Korea. This agreement was made after some of the Soviet warheads started to age and had high chances to explode in the Korean region, which would have resulted in the deaths of many civilians, they planed to cut the number of nuclear weapons in the Korean region this agreement was made in 2005. Since then there are no other significant interactions between them. America keeps North Korea in its surveillance list as the South Korean government asked for assistance by the American government, as they were underpowered in terms of military and equipment. The alliance between America and South Korea started during the cold war when North Korea invaded and captured land of South Korea and South Korea asked for the assistance to the United Nations and also America. America got into the war because America did not want communism to spread in Asia due to the Soviet
