The Wall Fragment from the Tomb of Amenemhet and His Wife Hemet, found at The Art Institute of Chicago, is a relief fragment is portraying Amenenmhet and his wife Hemet standing before funerary offerings. He wears a ruched white kilt with an upturned ruche depicted as a triangular projection. The low table before him is piled with loaves of bread, beef, and vegetables. To the right of the table is a basin and pot, and three tall containers for liquid offerings. The small figure towards the upper right, who is also named Amenemhet, offers a loin of beef to the deceased. Amenenmhet's wife, Hemet, stands behind her husband, positioning her hand warmly and tenderly on his shoulder. She places a flower to her nose, which is an allusion to rebirth
