Some monotheistic religions pay homage to one supreme deity and other religions are polytheistic and believe in many gods. Moreover, other religions such as Buddhism or Jainism do not celebrate any form of a god at all. There are also gods that are peaceful and there are others that are vengeful. Various religious texts throughout the centuries have recorded their interactions with humankind. Some of the god’s interactions with people example love to them, and some of the gods interactions with people can be harsh or deceitful. Ever since the birth of organized religion in the Fertile Crescent in c.10, 000 BCE, there have been many differences, as well as similarities between different sects of religions. The rains began to fall upon the earth for forty days and nights, and the waters continued to flood the earth for a hundred and fifty days. Then when the waters subsided, the enormous vessel came to its final resting spot on the mountains of Ararat. Noah and his family continued to wait for a few more months till the surface of the earth dried out. Finally, the Hebrew god invited Noah to come out of the ark. Noah then erected an altar to worship and praise his god with burnt offerings from some of the animals. Noah’s god was pleased with the offerings. Furthermore, his god promised to never again destroy all the living creatures and humankind with another flood. Noah’s god then made a covenant with Noah that he would never destroy the earth again. Moreover, as a sign of the covenant the god created a rainbow that graced the heavens. “ The LORD then said to Noah, “Go into the ark, you and your whole family, because I have found you righteous in this generation. 2 Take with you seven pairs of every kind of clean animal, a male and its mate, and one pair of every kind of unclean animal, a male and its mate, 3 and also seven pairs of every kind of bird, male and female, to keep their various kinds alive throughout the earth. 4 Seven days from now I will send rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights, and I will wipe from the face of the earth every living creature I have
