I am the absolute best candidate for the Woodring Program. I am hardworking. I never give up, and I am committed to what I am passionate about. I knew that I wanted to become a teacher the moment I stepped foot in a classroom. I felt at home and in a state of peace. It is hard for some people to understand why I would want to become a teacher, because it is not seen as glorified in any way. But to me, teaching is everything. When you teach someone, not only do you have an impact on their life, but you become aware of the type of person you truly are. You become more aware of what it means to be alive and have purpose. I aspire to be just like her because everyday I was in her class I was inspired. That is what I present and bring to the table as a Woodring applicant. I desire to inspire. Everyday I want my students to feel the way that I felt each time I would walk into class every single day. I bring inspiration with me everywhere that I go. I believe it is our inspiration that keeps us motivated and excited about the future. That is one of the reasons why I can honestly say that by me being admitted into the program I will be giving my inspiration to everyone I surround. There is no other place that I would rather study teaching or be involved with than the Woodring program. I am so devoted to teaching. My goal is to be the number one and most sought after special education teacher in the world. I have what you call “class room presence”. When I step foot into a learning environment there is something within me that functions naturally. I am able to understand what needs to be done, and to execute each and every one of my ideas boldly.
