To Much Money Without tissue and blood donor samples, we would not have vaccines for smallpox, polio, measles or even test for hepatitis and HIV. These donor samples play a huge roll in preserving mankind. I do not think anyone should profit off of patients donor samples; profits also hinder research which is unethical. There is so much more that we can contribute to, other than how much money one puts in their pocket. In my opinion I believe that it is unethical for anyone to profit off of the donor’s blood or tissue. Any profits should be used to go back in for scientific research or hospital needs and equipment or for the purpose of the storage of the blood and tissue samples, not for the pharmaceutical companies to make millions and billions to pay to their CEO’s. If we put all the profited money back in the health system, who knows what we could do? Lower health care, free health Care, better hospital equipment, or even find the cure for cancer or AIDS with the extra research funds. Not pay for the CEO’s new car or a bigger house. I think doctors should want to study our cells for the greater good of science and not for how much money they can put in their pockets. Doctors should be on a salary…show more content…
Meaning patients would be more intrigued to do it for the cash and not donate for the greater good of mankind, In the case of Moore vs regents of the University of California “Hinder research by restricting access to the necessary raw materials” and might “Destroy the economic incentive to conduct important medical research” (Moore v. Regents of the University of California).
