Michael Obi, in “Dead Men’s Path,” is a young man who gets a chance to create progress in a school when he is appointed head master. His obsession with “modern ways” and extreme eagerness to make changes negatively affect his decision making on how important tradition is to the villagers. Obi refuses to keep an open mind and be considerate of other’s morals and beliefs. He is stubborn to a fault.
