In this scenario I used Bevis tool of problem solving. According to Bevis in order to be good at problem solving, one needs to be flexible and be able to respond to shifts in a situation (Foley, 2009). I used problem solving during this situation when we trying to transfer the patient and realized that she would not be able to do it. We found an alternate solution that caused less pain to the patient and was easier for both the patient and my partner and I. In this scenario I also used Bevis took of learning.
