It’s a trip they will never forget. Most people don’t know much about Disney world except it was created by Walt Disney and is an amusement park. There is so much information about the park that is very interesting to know. Disney World isn’t what it always was, it has grown and become something even bigger than Walt Disney could have ever imagined. Walt Disney World first opened on October 1, 1971. Walt Disney said Epcot Center was conceived to “take its cue from the new ideas and new technologies that are now emerging from the creative centers of American industry.” Walt Disney wanted the park to be like a real working city, he said, "it will be a community of tomorrow that will never be completed but will always be introducing and testing and demonstrating new materials and systems.” Epcot Center covers about 260 acres of land, making it almost double the size of the Magic Kingdom. One of the many rides at Epcot is SOARIN’. SOARIN’ opened, February 8, 2001. The attraction is a type of simulation ride with motion, to feel like you are flying in the air. It opened May 1, 1989. MGM Studios had only four attractions when the park opened including, “The Backlot Tour, Great Movie Ride, Magic of Disney Animation, and Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular” ( ). As the years went on, the park had added more rides. Two of the most famous rides at MGM Studies are, Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and Rock’n’ Roller Coaster. Twilight Zone Tower of Terror is located, “at the end of Sunset Boulevard” () and is 13 stories high, mocking the look of the Hollywood Tower Hotel. The ride is computer programed to make each ride “random and unique” (DIS, n.d). The ride, Rock’n’ Roller Coaster opened July 30, 1999. The ride includes sounds and music from the band Aerosmith. The coaster has one of the fastest take offs in the park with a “high-speed launch of 0-60 mph in 2.8 seconds” (Walt Disney World News, n.d). Today, there are Disney parks all around the world.
