Art can be perceived as a transcendent wonder, for example Vincent Van Gogh; his art captures the attention of the audience. Sheldrake states that his art “embraces both a philosophy of life and a form of spiritual practice” and that it “expressed a great longing ‘like a light in the midst of darkness’” (page 53) Van Gogh’s art didn’t become popular until he passed away, and his work is still an inspiration for today’s art work. Transcendent wonder even shows up in literature form. Sheldrake list a number for people that wrote poets, short stories, novels, children’s books, fantasy writing, diary and letters.
