Can We Feel the Love
According to Loretta Young,“Love isn't something you find. Love is something that finds you”(BrainyQuotes). This quote ties in to the story about two sides coming together in the end to create love. In the story To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, some people believe love is not an important factor, but others believe love is a key term in this book. Love is displayed many times throughout this novel. Not love as in serious relationships necessary, but growing even more closer to the ones people look after, or even looking after complete strangers.
First, throughout his story love is taken on by a complete stranger, a person who the neighbors living in the city of Maycomb think he is very strange, but it turns out he is more caring than some of the people living there back…show more content… First, the children are there for him everytime he needs support. Whether it was emotional support, or physical support the children are always there for Atticus. On the other hand, the children worry about Atticus during the trial, because he gets stressed over the trial, and the children are worried about him. Atticus states,“You just hold your head high and keep those fists down. No matter what anyone says to you, don’t let ‘em get your goat. Try fighting with your head for a change…it’s a good one, even if it does resist learning.” (Lee 76). What this quote is saying is that he does not want the children to worry about anything, because he is very confident that he will win this case, but it turns out that is was a little too over confident and he unexpectedly loses the trial. Hereafter, toward the end of the book when the children are walking home in the dark and are attacked, Atticus spring into action as soon as he notices something wrong, just like an Father would do to his kids if something was unusual and that is exactly what Atticus
