The book, Thinking in Pictures by Temple Grandin, (2006) was a very interesting read. While learning about how it is to live with autism and have such a complex mind for visualization, you will also see different examples of ways to teach kids with autism and some other difficulties that come with having the disorder. There were some benefits from visual thinking, and some things that caused hardship for her in doing normal everyday things. Thanks to her parents, teacher and support group, they were able to help her grow and become somewhat more accustomed to a more normal way of life.
