In the article Coben made a logical appeal about most parents and how they treat the new generation of children now. For example Coben states “Today’s overprotective parents fight their kid’s battles, with the coaches about playing time, on the playground and even when it comes to filling out college applications, but when it comes to the internet the children have their independence.” Which means parents now, in this day in age are more worried about preventing their kids from being hurt in playgrounds and keeping them happy when it comes to getting playing time in sports, when it comes to what parents should really be preventing their child from (social networking), they don’t do.
