All leaders are manipulators. There are many ways that a person can manipulate people.
They use various tactics to brainwash their followers. Sun Myung Moon and Napoleon from George Orwell's, The Animal Farm, are both similar leaders. They are alike due to the fact that they used false information to persuade people to follow them.
Moon founded the Unification Church in 1954. The church was founded using a doctrine based on false Christianity. In 1952 Moon wrote a book based on the scripture of the church. The teachings also included elements of eastern philosophy and what were said to be revelations from God to Moon. The idea of this church is that Moon “declared himself the "Messiah” ” ("Sun Myung Moon" 1). Moon made it seem as if he was the only way to heaven. He used false information to gain people who would follow him. Napoleon used the same tactic when he executed the people who followed Snowball. They were executed due to the fact that "...they confessed that they had been secretly in touch with Snowball... [and] they entered into an agreement with him..." (Orwell, 46). When Napoleon executes the animals it is a symbolism to the other animals that he was the only leader they can be in touch with.
