In Carol Dweck’s “The Perils and Promise of Praise”, Dweck proposes that each person can develop two types of mindsets as a result of the kind of praises we experience. Dweck explains how this is important information for teachers and students. Teachers being the individuals who give praise and students being the people who receive the praise. In this body of writing, i will elaborate on Dweck’s ideas of mindsets as a result of praise in a detailed summary and i will also give an analysis from another reading to support how Dweck’s “The Perils and Promise of Praise” is something that everyone should be aware of.
