She lives with her mother, and loves her, yet her mother tends to treat her and her sisters brutally. This is one concern of Claudia’s is that she is worried not to deal with mother’s attitude, or making her angry. They never cursed at each other, yet were very violent. The violent actions seemed to be the only solution to reason a disagreement between each other. A sophisticated reasoning never was a solution between the family. Unlike the children, Sammy would leave home or start cursing, and Pecola would start feeling sick. Even Though the family’s reasoning was through violent terms, Cholly Breedlove is a drunk. He is the one to blame through for all he has caused to the family.
