Subway has a whole host of celebrity endorsements, especially with the conventional but also controversial story of Jared Fogle. In 2007, Fogle met with President George Bush about nutrition and testified before the US Congress about the need for healthier snack options in schools. This idea prompted Fogle to initiate a charity by the name of The Jared Foundation. However, the founder was heavily criticised for spending less than a quarter of the money it promised on those worthwhile efforts – that is according to tax documents. The charity managed to raise $650,000 from 2008 to 2013, but only $145,647 has been donated to fight obesity in that same time period. As a result, Subway decided to fire him. Nevertheless, Fogle has been crucial to
