Did you know that archeologists on September 8, 2015, found the remains of a huge stone ritual, buried under a grassy plain, less than 2 miles from Stonehenge? They used ground-penetrating radars to find over 30 stones intact and over 60 more buried stones in fragments. Stonehenge was built roughly in between 3,700 and 1,600 B.C. and it has been a public fascination since then.
Stonehenge is a massive stone monument in England that is rough between 5,000 and 4,000 years old. Scientists estimated that it took over 1,500 years to build Stonehenge. While it is unknown why Stonehenge was built most think it was some type of ritual structure. Stonehenge also looks to be lined up with the midsummer sunrise and midwinter sunset.
