The Prime Minister of Canada has an essential role within the Canadian parliament. In the political Parliamentary system of Canada, the Prime Minister abstains the executive responsibility. Stephen Harper has been Prime Minister of Canada for a little over nine years. He is accountable for decisions that affect the country and lately his decisions leave Canadians in controversy state. In my opinion Stephen Harper should not be re-elected in the upcoming elections, due to the fact he is an untrustworthy Prime Minister. First, in Spring of 2011, a federal court established that Harper's Conservatives violated the $18.3 million election spending limit (thestar), during the campaign which originally brought them to power in 2006.
