The Catholic Church teaches of marriages, divorces, annulments, and family. People of the Catholic traditions follow what the Catholic Church asks of each of their followers. This paper will discuss the film, “A man for all seasons” and how King Henry VII wants not only a divorce, but a remarriage to his mistress. While St Thomas More disapproves of King Henry’s behavior. The writer of this paper also disagrees with actions brought on by King Henry’s VII and claiming to be a follower in the Catholic tradition. Also, the question whether it was realistic for St. Thomas More to obey his conscience they way he did? Why or why not? The Catholic church teaches about marriage and divorce and how marriages are permanent and forever and unbreakable.
