“I don’t think you should wait. I think you should speak now.” After Taylor Swift released her first album in 2006, she rose to stardom and became known as “America’s Sweetheart” ever since. Swift is also recognized for her impeccable and unashamedly blunt songwriting; however, like many other artists and songwriters, becoming a world-wide famous superstar and gaining supporters was no easy feat. After living in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania for 14 years, Swift managed to convince her parents to let her move to Nashville in order to pursue her dream in becoming a professional singer and songwriter. Swift was rejected from many major record companies before finally signing with Big Machine Records in 2005, thus embarking on her professional career.
