Conditioning is one of the most important steps to doing your best and to have a healthy body to compete in the sport of softball. To have a healthy body in the sport of softball is to pick one of the types of conditioning to do together as a whole team. The types of conditioning are weight training, running, fielding, and team building. Weight training is to build up all of your upper body and lower body muscles and for you to use the strength you gain towards your games. Running is especially important to softball because it builds up your endurance to run around the bases and helps you to have the energy to catch a ball out in the outfield. A true champion works hard and never loses sight of her dreams” (Finch 9). There are many ways and steps to be able to think smart on the softball field. The first step is to keep your body healthy and in shape for softball, by eating the right nutritious foods and to exercise properly. The second step is to push the limits within the sport of softball meaning that you go above and beyond to accomplish goals, to have the right mindset to accomplish that goal, and to think how you want to accomplish it by giving it all you got. The first way is to exercise properly by exercising from day to day or from weekly team exercises or
