Introduction Fashion has been a part of human history since Adam and Eve first sowed fig leaves together to cover their nakedness. Fashion is defined as “a popular or the latest style of clothing, hair, decoration or behaviour. (Oxford Dictionaries) Humanity has always sought to improve conditions here on earth and advance living conditions, making life a bit easier with each breakthrough, and clothing is a part of the human advancement. Jeans have been a part of fashion since the 1800s and is still a part of our daily lives today. They come in many different styles, colours and patterns. However, recent trends have led to the shrinking/ tightening of men’s jeans in the name of looking cool or hype. This research will deal with some of them many health risks associated with men who wear skinny jeans. Though we are free to choose, each choice comes with a consequence, whether good or bad. In the 1960s, women began adopting the slim cut jeans styles. Since then, the jeans have become increasingly tighter. Nowadays, men rock skin tight jeans as bold fashion statements. Various celebrities like Russell Brand, Lil Wayne, and Justin Bieber all rock skinny jeans. Many see it as a fashion statement, besides; clothes display a person’s personality and those who rock skinny jeans may be seen a daring and outspoken. On the other hand, many don’t see it this way. Some view men who wear skinny jeans as not manly enough. In fact, some women hate seeing men wearing skinny jeans. For those men who think that all the stares from the ladies are them marvelling at how good they look, a 2011 blog by Joy Sewing states that according to a poll, 68% of women say “it is never appropriate for their date to show up wearing skinny jeans.”
