Reich talks about the fact that we can already see changes in this society, there is more technology being built. Going along with this new fad, more companies are embracing technology in their facilities; therefore they are buying machinery to do their work instead of using human labor. Not only that, but these companies are pulling in immigrants and paying these workers less than the minimum wage. That a big motive to how the rich to maintain and increase their wealth within in America. They get the workers to work the same hours for less, giving them more money and cause the poor to lose money or not have a job.
