It’s like there’s this button that says “press this for free cookies”, but every time it gets pressed, a bird poops on Ella’s head, but Ella keeps pressing it, and once every one hundred times, Ella gets a cookie. It’s the most delicious cookie Ella’s have ever had. While Ella was eating it, she realized she’d willingly get pooped on ninety nine more times in hopes of getting another cookie. Then one day the cookies stopped coming. It opens chests and it opens hearts and it means that someone can just crawl inside and harm. They did something one day like smile just the right way and then Ella’s life just wasn’t hers anymore. It takes hostages.
