Perhaps recreation and rehabilitation are interconnected in more ways than seemingly so. Rehabilitation can be described to restore to a condition of good health, ability to work, or the like (Unabridged, 2015). These two definitions appeared interrelated when the victim of a vicious homophobic attack, Scott Jones shared his inspiring story. As Jones’ attack had left him paralyzed from the waist down, he has gone through months of rehabilitation and recovery. With the aid of recreation, Jones has been able to endeavor through rehabilitation with the assistance of recreation.
