In examining the purpose of the scavenger hunt, the following premises came to mind as for the goals for the implementation of the scavenger hunt.
1) The student develops teamwork skills
2) The student learns about key resources at the UHV campus, such as the library, financial aid, counseling, and so forth.
3) Personal development, the student creates a peer-to-peer support system, to help in retention at the university.
4) The student learns a modicum of Victoria and local points of historical interest.
With these elements as the driving aspirations of the scavenger hunt, it is my opinion that the rubric emphasizes these elements.
