Roman Gladiators In ancient Rome people gathered to see gladiators fight to the death. The Roman people enjoyed watching Gladiator as violent entertainment. Roman Gladiator wasn't from Rome they were from all over and made slaves by the roman people. There are many famous Gladiators in Roman history one of the most known is Spartacus the Gladiator that led the Third Servile war against Rome. The Gladiators is was great warriors trained to fight to the death in Rome. In Rome gladiators was a big part of entertainment. The Romans would have gladiators fight when the celebrated holiday and things like that. It was like a Roman Sport and they enjoyed watching the slaves fight to the death. The best Gladiators was treated like celebrities and got special treatment from their owners. The Romans that trained and owned Gladiators would throw parties to show how strong and fit their Gladiators were. All of the Roman people loved to gather at the arena to watch this violent entertainment because in that time there wasn't much to do for fun. The Gladiators were slaves from area all around Rome and places they conquered. The Gladiators were usually soldier that the Roman army captured in war. The Servile wars were Slave rebellions. This servile war was the most successful because it was led by Gladiators. The Gladiator known as Spartacus was the cause and the leader of the war. Spartacus Travel leading the escaped Gladiators to free more slave and train them to be soldiers.
