Rahul Sadhwani Mrs. Klebba English IV 11-18-15 The Role of Women • Topic: The Role of Women in Othello • Intro paragraph: The roles of women in the play are seen to be very minimal or sometimes irrelevant. There are three women characters in the play Emilia, Bianca, and Desdemona. All stand with each other throughout the play even though their husbands are against one another. In Othello, Shakespeare makes it seem like the men are more dominant than the women and that the men mistreat the women because they allow themselves to be mistreated.
