Thomas Merton once stated, “Pride makes us artificial and humility makes us real”. People often have so much pride they cannot think of anything else but to make themselves look good in front of others. In Julius Caesar, Caesar does not listen to his wife or his servant about going to the Senate House to get his crown. However in Wall Street : Money never sleeps, Louis Zabel kills himself because he did not want to face the embarrassment. These examples show how having too much pride can lead to bad decision making. Firstly in Julius Caesar, Caesar's wife, Calpurnia, tells her husband not go to the Senate House because she had a bad dream about him. “What mean you, Caesar? Think you to walk forth? You shall not stir out of your house today”,(ii,ii). She is scared something might go wrong. At first Caesar argues with his wife about how nothing can stop him “Caesar shall forth.
