In the story “Gryphon” by Charles Baxter Miss Ferenczi had a positive influence on the students. Using evidence from the story which states “ I ran into the living room, pulled out a dictionary next to the TV stand, and opened it to the G’s”. The quote explains how Miss Ferenczi has gotten one of her students so interested in class that he was curious enough to learn more on the mythical creature known as the Gryphon. Another occurrence of Miss Ferenczi’s positive impact on the students is when the book states“I hate a mess,” Miss Ferenczi said. “I hate a mess in a desk or a mind. It’s . . . unsanitary. You wouldn’t want your house at home to look like your desk at school, now, would you?”. Miss Ferenczi explains to the kids would they treat
