Personal Narrative: The Marlboro Little League Baseball

It was a hot, humid day in the Marlboro Little League ballpark. We were tied in the bottom of the last inning. CRACK! The floating white ball with fiery red seams was launched in the outfield in between the left and right fielders. They scrambled after it as I rounded second base. The speedy left fielder tracked down the baseball, snatched it up and chucked it to the second baseman as I was dashing home. I was racing as fast as a speeding jet in the clear blue sky. The second baseman relayed it home and I slid home in a cloud of dust. I got underneath the tag of the catcher and was SAFE!!!! Our opponents stared in shock. We won and it was astonishing that I was safe. Excitedly, our team and the parents celebrated with pizza and ice
