Outliers: The Story of Success The title of the book that I have read isOutliers: the Story of Success by Malcolm Gladwell. This book is published by Little, Brown and Company in November 18, 2008. Also I have read some pages in the book entitled The Tipping Point by Gladwell but didn’t finish it. It is published by Little, Brown and Company in 2000. Gladwell is born in Fareham, Hampshire. He is a Canadian journalist, bestselling author, and speaker. It explains that people around us, our cultures, families and friends, has a great effect on becoming who we are. There are a lot of quotes that I have like in this book. One of the quotes is “... If you work hard enough and assert yourself and use your mind and imagination, you can shape the world to your desires.” This is one of my favorite quotes because it is a motivation for us to pursue more our passion and need to work much harder to achieve whatever our goals is. Another is “…People don’t rise from nothing… we all know that successful people come from hardy seeds.”I think that we all need to exert a lot of effort and learn from all the mistakes that we have done and apply it for us to understand more that it is not easy to rise from the top. We need to have a lot of patience, be humble, and always remember that it is not how much money we make but how those work that we do fulfills us. Lastly is “Working really hard is what successful people do…hard work gave them those in the fields a way to find meaning in the midst of uncertainty and poverty.” This quote has really motivated me because poverty should not interfere from all the things that we wanted to do. It should be an inspiration for us to work hard and also be an inspiration for others to help them achieve their goals in
