The movie “O Brother, Where Art Thou?” is an exciting story, full of adventure and comedy. though the comedic and entertainment value were taken into account, it was still considered a great film. The movie was based on the 1930s somewhere located in the south. It has duration of about an hour and thirty minute. Cast members include George Clooney, John Turturro, Tim Blake Nelson, John Goodman, and Holly Hunter. The movie is directed by Joel Coen and Ethan Coen, two brothers who both worked together to create a relevant and understandable perspective on life. The film was released in 2001 and has received gross pay of about 46,000,000 in its first year. The movie starts with the three main characters [Everett, Delmar, and Pete] escaping from a holding place, or prison like area. Everett, Delmar, and Pete were fortunate to escape from captivity. The movie has the capability to make someone laugh at least once if not at all, and the humor is an important aspect of the movie all together. The music presented in this film is the country music, the use of banjo’s and guitars with pure vocals. This type of music was enjoyable when listened to during the movie, the sound was good and it expanded the idea of southern music in the past. Negroes and Whites during this time seemed to get along a little bit better, but there was still a big division between them as whites would still call Negroes the ‘N’ word and were even lynching them. At a certain point in the movie, the three had a vehicle, when they were on their journey they assisted a black man who needed a ride.It was great to see that the three were helping the black man go to his destination, they even had meaningful conversations with him and used him as a guitarist for their musical
