A hot topic right now is abortion. Abortions have a big impact on society. Abortions are so common in the U.S. that every 3 out of 10 women have an abortion by the time they’re 45 (Unkown, 2015). Politicians are on the fence about this topic. Some politicians believe that abortion is wrong, which in most cases have to do with their religious beliefs or cultural backgrounds. While others believe abortion is up to the person whether it be morally or ethically wrong or not. This all comes down to the value or beliefs of the person making up their mind on this topic. Values are culturally defined standards that people use to decide what is desirable, good, and beautiful and underlie beliefs or statements that people believe to be true. The topic on abortion is discussed from classrooms, religion, and even politics. Depending on your religious belief a person would decide and discuss if abortion is acceptable or unacceptable.…show more content…
