The biggest idea or process of late 20th century is Globalization. Almost all of us are well aware about the word of Globalization. It can be define as “The advance level of interaction of people of the world and their cultures, religions etc and integration and interdependence of national and local economics across national or international boarders”. For example, in an oppressed society getting information about other cultures convinces the people that their government is abusive. They want the lifestyle and advantages they see. This is why oppressive regimes try to limit the transmission of television and Internet to their subjects. Globalization has allowed for the spread of customs, language and products. Globalization has allowed for people to be able to attain goods and services not previously available. You can find Coca-Cola, McDonalds and KFC in most major cities throughout the world. Globalization has allowed people to become familiar with the culture of other countries allowing for a greater understanding. While globalization opens doors it also leads to blending of cultures and the deterioration of unique cultural differences. The negatives of globalization include gap between rich and poor, reduction in individual sovereignty of a nation, environmental pollution and susceptibility of all parts of the world suffering with recession in other countries. And as for cricket, the globalization of cricket was given perhaps is biggest boost by the Academy award winning movie, Slum dog Millionaire – a film based on a slum dweller’s improbable winning of a television quiz show. Here a question is that, what are the factors or drivers because of which it get so much intensity that children of village like Swat can play cricket and use mobile phones? The answer to this thinkable question is “New age of Connectivity” and “Uploading”. Around 1990’s people can save their ideas and information about their culture and religion on computers but they cannot share with the external world. “The Internet” allows them to share it with the whole world by means of uploading. Now there could be a question here that, how people can access them? And the channel, surely, will be technology, which is one of the main pillar of Globalization. Technology is one of the major aspect that shrinks the world and world becomes a Global village. In this global village internet allows almost everyone to take benefit from it. Source of movements i-e- online tickets, business deals, buying and selling and other lot of things, all packed in one touch. Just one touch and you are done. At the end I suggest that “The man of future is FAT” because of one touch internet access as it allows everyone to stay at one place and get what they want. It doesn’t mean that in future people will leave exercise or walking but the advance level and much use of internet will give them so much
