Music blaring from a live band, crowds dressed in green and yellow dancing in joyful celebration, the succulent smell of deep fried pastries, a colorful parade, and a reunion of old friends. This is the Brazilian Festival. On this day, people from all walks of life may experience a little bit of the culture in Brazil, but it is especially a day of importance and celebration for all Brazilian Americans. People come from miles around to be reunited with each other that day, fulfilling a part of them that misses their home country and also helps to remind them of their culture and their past.
