At NMSU, the mental health stigma associated among the college students is, “You’re weak if you go to counseling, Counseling is “crazy” and for unsuccessful people, A counselor cannot help me unless they are from the same background and have similar life experiences as me, A counselor will judge me, and Counseling is unaffordable” (NMSU Counseling Center, 2012).
