Meaning Of Ms. Narwin's 'National Anthem'

264 Words2 Pages
I would think about this conclusion in the novel as “interesting” since it left us off when Ms. Narwin went to take some time to ease her mind with her sister and also Philip going to the Washington Academy. While Philip was in the Washington Academy, he was also known well for standing against Ms. Narwin for singing out loud for patriotism. The only problem was that he said, “I don’t know the words!”(Avi Page 137.) What I think about this is that it’s very ironic that people know you for singing out the National Anthem for your patriotism rights but, you don’t know the words to the National Anthem. I would think about the ending of Ms. Narwin as justice since this was what she deserved for stopping Philip to show the love for his country.
