During my research I came across several amazing facts on which organs or body parts that are available today and what scientists are working on. Scientists have developed vaginal organs for women that have a rare genetic condition called Mayer-Rokitansky-Kuster-Hauser syndrome. First a scaffold is made of biodegradable material. One side of the scaffold is coated with the patient’s epithelial cells, which were taken from a small biopsy performed on the patient’s external genitals. It is then placed into an incubator that stays at a constant temperature, and humidity needed for the development and growth of the tissue.
