The two main characters of Legend are Day and June. Day is a legend. June is a

only fifteen she has a prestigious position in the Republic’s military. The loss of her
parents and her brother made her stronger and, like Day, determined. She is also
obedient, passionate, and committed to her country. Even though June and Day seem like
complete opposites, their determination and desire for justice is what brings them
together. Readers will be able to read each character’s point of view, and will love seeing
how as the story matures Day and June start seeing the world through the same eyes.
The conflict in this novel spurs when Day is framed for the death of Metias,
June’s brother. Knowing this, June is determined to find her brother’s killer. She goes
undercover to one of the Republic’s poorest sectors where she is certain she will find
Day. Destiny brings Day and June together in an unexpected way, and without either of
them knowing whom the other is. When June discovers the identity of the boy who saved
