In "A Homemade Education" by Malcolm X he discovers how much he's learned with the proper amount of reading. He discuses how, while he was imprisoned he spent time reading and enhancing his vocabulary through the books the prison provided. X talks about how prison changed him as a person. He talks about while he was on the streets, he would of never been as educated as he was after prison with the influence of his friend Bimbi. He discusses the topic of going to college and getting an education the traditional way, but X incurs that going to college would of been way more of distraction from learning. He talks about how hes learned how many books are whitewashed and don't portray the full history of black and brown people in the US. Malcolm
